🎁 1. What is the ChargeLab Rewards Program?
The ChargeLab Rewards Program is a free incentive initiative for Canadian EV drivers who connect eligible home chargers to the ChargeLab platform. By participating, you allow ChargeLab to generate carbon credits from your residential charging activity and receive rewards in return.
✅ 2. Who is eligible?
To join the program, you must meet all the following criteria:
- Be a legal resident of Canada
- Own a qualifying home charger installed at a single-family residence
- Be the age of majority in your province or territory
- Use a charger that supports OCPP 1.6 or newer
- Keep your charger connected to the internet and the ChargeLab app
- Register the charger under a unique ChargeLab account (1 per charger)
- Use the charger exclusively for residential charging
Note: Commercial, fleet, multi-tenant, or shared-use chargers are not eligible for the ChargeLab Rewards program. Additionally, Ivy chargers are not supported at this time.
📝 3. How do I enroll?
- Visit the ChargeLab Rewards sign-up page.
- Submit the form with your name, email, charger model, and installation location.
- If eligible, you’ll receive an email with steps to connect your charger.
After successful connection and validation, your charger will be enrolled and you will receive a confirmation email (may take up to two business days).
🔒 Data Consent
By enrolling, you agree to let ChargeLab collect and use charging data (e.g., kWh, timestamps, diagnostics) for:
- Carbon credit generation
- Program administration and product improvement
- Regulatory reporting
This may include international data transfers and third-party sharing. You may withdraw anytime by exiting the program.
💵 4. What rewards will I receive?
Qualified Participants are eligible to receive:
- July 9, 2025 through June 30, 2026: CA $25.00 one-time bonus after successful initial connection of their charger and confirmation of registration. If their charger was initially connected to ChargeLab before July 9, 2025 or after June 30, 2026, they are not eligible for the one-time bonus;
- July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026: CA $0.03 per kWh of qualifying residential charging, calculated and disbursed quarterly;
- July 1, 2026 onward: CA $0.10 per kWh of qualifying residential charging, calculated and disbursed quarterly;
- Free network service fees including the ChargeLab app ($10 per month value).
- $25 for each person participant referred to ChargeLab Rewards. The referred person must complete the ChargeLab Rewards interest form on the ChargeLab website using the qualified participant’s referral code (provided via email upon enrollment completion) and connect an eligible home charger to ChargeLab for the first time. If the charger, identified by its serial number, was previously connected to ChargeLab, the referral is not eligible.
Rewards are delivered via digital gift cards or other methods chosen by ChargeLab. Minimum payout is CA $5.00. If the amount accrued in a given quarter is less than $5.00, there will be no reward payout for the quarter.
📊 5. How are payments calculated?
- July 9, 2025 through June 30, 2026: Rewards are calculated as (Total qualifying kWh during quarter) × $0.03, rounded to the nearest cent.
- July 1, 2026 onward: Rewards are calculated as (Total qualifying kWh during quarter) × $0.10, rounded to the nearest cent.
- Referral rewards are calculated as (the number of home chargers connected to ChargeLab at end of the quarter that used participant’s referral code to sign up within the given quarter x CAD $25).
⚠️ 6. Important conditions
- Program is dependent on Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR)
- Charger disconnections may result in missed or lost rewards
- Fraud or noncompliance may lead to removal from the program
🔁 7. Program changes & termination
ChargeLab may modify terms or end the program at any time with at least 30 days’ notice. If the program ends, final payouts will be made unless participation was disqualified due to fraud or breach of terms.
⚖️ 8. Legal terms
- Program provided “as is,” with no guarantees of availability or compatibility
- ChargeLab’s liability is limited to CAD $100 or 12-month rebate total, whichever is greater
- Governing law is Ontario and applicable federal laws of Canada
