On Site Testing Guide

Requirements for all test cases

We recommend performing test cases after you deploy new chargers

  1. Account Set-Up: Ensure you have created a ChargeLab account and have access to the chargers if private access is enabled.
  2. Pricing: If the charger has a price rule, add a credit card to your ChargeLab account to test billing. You can also apply a full discount in the dashboard under the Pricing menu to cancel out billing.
  3. Access to an EV: You will need to be in person with an EV for the following tests
  4. Charging Process: Each test case involves starting a session, plugging in the cable, and waiting for the charge to begin. Details for each case are provided below.

Connection Time Out - The communication window during which the charger and EV must connect has expired.

There are two common scenarios for this error are 1) the connector timed out because a transaction request was sent, but the cable was not plugged in within the designated timeframe and 2) The connector was attached to the vehicle but timed out while waiting for a transaction request.
