Payter FAQ

  • There is a 3-day delay between registration and the activation of the credit card reader. This period includes some necessary verifications by Payter. Future automation may streamline this process.

  • Currently, Payter is available in the USA only. Canadian approval is in progress, targeting completion by the end of June.

  • Yes, as long as the integrated units are the supported units (Apollo, Apollo Max & Apollo Polar).

  • Yes. The integration will be for both the Payter Apollo, Payter Apollo Max and Apollo Polar. This integration will not support the Payter P68 terminals or credit card terminals of any other brand.

  • The implementation is hardware agnostic. It should be usable with any hardware.

  • In the case of multi-port selection or multi-charger situations, you will select the charger and/or port on the Payter terminal.

  • Yes, you will need to select the desired port on the Payter terminal.

  • The Payter payment terminals will accept Apple Wallet and Google Pay as forms of payment. However, the ChargeLab applications will not be updated to allow those payment methods in this release.

  • The Payouts report will exclude Payter transactions, and there will be a note explaining this. We will be able to display the transaction amounts, but not the payout amounts.

  • No, because there is no user authentication. If we can’t identify a driver, we can’t apply a discount.

  • This will be default, but you have the option to hide or unhide it by clicking 'Show payment terminal info'.

  • We will begin by releasing this feature to a limited group of users and will expand its availability as we gather more user feedback.

  • There will be a QR code that appears on the screen. It will appear on the screen until it times out (around a minute).

  • No, at this time they can not be white-labelled

  • Yes, ChargeLab RFID cards will work.
